Noriel Jarito
Noriel M. Jarito is a recepient of two CCP Gawad Alternatibo Award (Asia's longest running film festival) and a film ambassador awardee of Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) for his 2nd full-length film HURAMENTADO (Kill The President) - Jury Choice Award from 5th Delhi International Film Festival. Omega Prize and Special Mention in Film Editing from CIM-Sueca International Film Festival in Spain. Special Jury Award in 2016 4-Chances International Film Festival-Germany Edition. His first full-length film RINDIDO (Deranged) was one of the finalists in the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) 1st New Wave category held in December 2010 and was shown in Metro Manila movie houses. His documentary BINGO competed in 13th Lyon Asian Film Festival (France, 2007) and Babelgum online film festival. His first short film OFW: New Heroes or Mad Heroes was a finalist in 2nd PBO-Viva Films Digitales (2008) and was shown in national cable; competed in 11th Int’l Panorama of Independent Filmmakers (Greece, 2009), Tehran 11th Int’l Short Film Festival (Iran, 2006). He graduated Fine Arts major in advertising from Far Eastern University, Manila in 1993. Born (June 18, 1972) and raised in Pambujan, Northern Samar where he lives with his wife Tina and stepson Kim.
